Chelsea Canovas
Chelsea Canovas has been practising and studying Yoga for nearly 20 years from the Himalayas in India to the beaches of New Brighton!
Chelsea enjoys Hatha Yoga, not only for its health benefits, but for its restorative and energizing effects to help balance a busy family life. Studying yoga philosophy and other yoga paths, particularly Bhakti Yoga, has given her insight and knowledge that yoga can be both healing and profound. From her extensive travels around the world, Chelsea noticed how some of the world's poorest people were the happiest and most fulfilled, because of their spiritual lifestyle. Chelsea's spiritual path is within family life - a great opportunity for Karma Yoga practice! Yoga is a constant support when life is challenging and helps to cultivate patience and gratitude.
Chelsea's qualifications are:
- BSc. Psychology with Physiology;
- Yoga Teacher trained with Comprehensive Yoga Fellowship (CYF);
- Pregnancy Yoga Teacher trained with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli with Yogacampus;
- Children's Yoga Teacher trained with Karmatime ;
- CECHH Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner & Life Coach.
As well as running private classes and working in schools and nurseries, Chelsea enjoys teaching outdoors in nature whenever possible. She has given free yoga at 'Yoga in the Park' in Sefton Park, Liverpool and at the 'Play Out' in Birkenhead for the Woodcraft Folk. In Summer 2010, Chelsea led a 'mindful' walk along the beach in New Brighton, followed with energizing 'Yoga on the Beach.'
Chelsea is particularly interested in Hypnosis for Birth (helping with mental, emotional and spiritual preparation for birth) after successfully birthing her children without the need for medical intervention. Chelsea weaves her skills as a Hypnotherapist & NLP practioner into her classes so that students receive a truly holisitic, therapeutic experience.
